Return Policy 

Returns on in-stock merchandise will be issued if requested within 30 days of purchase.

Full refunds will be issued using the original payment method. Return shipping of the item

is paid by the customer and will not be reimbursed. All custom and special orders cannot

be returned. Please note: Floorcloths are custom made and are therefore non-returnable/

refundable. Please consider color choices and sizes carefully before placing your order. 

Primitive Beginnings is more than happy to send color samples and/or color match customer

paint swatches upon request. 

Free Shipping to Continental US 

As a courtesy to our customers, Primitive Beginnings offers free shipping on any in-stock item(s)

within the continental US. Please call Primitive Beginnings to ask if your item is in stock and/or

to get a shipping estimate. Shipping fees will be charged to the customer the day of shipping either

as an addition to an invoice (products + shipping) or as a seperate invoice if products have already

been paid for. In the later case, Primitive Beginnings will generate a PayPal invoice for

the shipping charge and ship upon receipt of patment.

Alaska, Hawaii, & Out-of-Country Shipping 

A shipping charge is added to the cost of the item for those products mailed to Alaska,

Hawaii, or out of the country. Shipping in this case is determined according to weight, package

size, and final destination. Primitive Beginnings makes every attempt to use the most cost efficient

shipping carrier and will most often email the customer with multiple shipping options,

listing the various shipping costs as they relate to shipping time. Once the customer has

agreed upon a shipping method, Primitive Beginnings will generate a PayPal invoice for

the shipping charge.

Furniture Orders

Furniture pieces are shipped UPS ground freight directly from our craftsmen in Georgia

to your home. Prices may vary depending on item size and shipping destination. To give

you an idea, shipping from Georgia up the Eastern seaboard to Maryland is as follows.

(Approximate Shipping Cost to Maryland: Table $125 /  8-10 Chairs $115 / Hutch

$198). Upon receipt of a furniture order, Primitive Beginnings will contact the customer

to discuss color options, sizes, and shipping. Once these customization options are

determined, Primitive Beginnings will generate an additional PayPal invoice reflecting

shipping charges and any additional customization ad-ons. This invoice will be

emailed to the customer for payment along with an estimated delivery date. 

Shipping Carriers 

Products shipped within the continental US, which qualify for free shipping, will be

shipped using the most cost efficient carrier (USPS, UPS, or FedEx) and method (usually

"ground") unless specified otherwise by the customer in the notes field of the invoice at

time of order. If expedited shipping or shipping using a preferred carrier is requested,

Primitive Beginnings will generate and email an additional invoice to the customer to

cover the additional shipping charges.

Delayed Shipping 

Because Primitive Beginnings uses the most cost efficient shipping method, often times

products take at least one week to arrive to our customers. Please keep in mind that items

that are out of stock or back-ordered will take longer. If an extended shipping time is

expected, our customers will be notified via email of the anticipated package arrival date.

Please note that all furniture pieces are custom made to order and usually take at least one

month to complete. An estimated delivery date will be emailed to the customer shortly after

the furniture order has been placed.

Direct Shipping from our Manufacturers 

To save our customers further expense, Primitive Beginnings often ships directly from

our manufacturers to our customers. For example, most of our lighting products are

shipped directly from our manufacturers in Pennsylvania to our customers' homes. Again,

Primitive Beginnings will make every effort to keep our customers informed on the

shipping status of their order by sending email updates as information becomes available.
